Beaver Creek State Park

East Liverpool, Ohio 43920
330-385-3091

Beaver Creek State Park, located in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, is one of Ohio’s most scenic parks. The park includes Little Beaver Creek, a state and national wild and scenic river along with acres of wilderness. Hike the 16 miles of trails through the park or take a horseback ride on one of the 25 miles of Bridal Trails. Pack a picnic basket and stay for the day. Picnic areas are scenically located and provide tables and grills.

Camping
The Campground site offers 53 non-electric sites with tables and fire rings. Two Rent-A-Tepee units are available and come equipped with cooler, storage containers, sleeping pads and lantern. The Horseman’s Camp offer’s primitive camping with water and tie-ups for horses.

Boating
Beaver Creek offers one of the most exciting canoe trips with challenging rapids and the beautiful scenery. Canoe rentals are available by calling the park office at 330-385-3091.

Fishing
Stream fishing is excellent for small mouth bass and rock bass. A valid Ohio fishing license is required.

Take a walk back in time and tour all of the buildings from the 1800’s.

Gaston’s Mill
Samuel Conkle built Gaston’s Mill in 1830 and Philander Gaston, for whom the mill is named after, acquired the gristmill some time prior to 1870 and as late as 1928 the mill was still in operation. Today you can purchase bags of flour ground at the mill on the weekends when the mill is open for viewing.

Lower Cabin
Leave the mill and walk to the Lower Cabin to see how the people of Columbiana County used to live. The one room cabin is named for Floyd Lower, a longtime resident of Lisbon.

Dailey Schoolhouse
After seeing the cabin, take the short walk to the Dailey Schoolhouse where students were taught their lessons on McGuffey Readers. The readers were named after William McGuffey, an Ohioan who taught school in Columbiana County in 1817 before becoming widely known for his readers.

Vodrey Chapel
Walk through the doors of the Vodrey Chapel and you can almost see the congregations of past attending a Sunday Worship Service. This Chapel is dedicated to historian William H. Vodrey III, a lawyer, conservationist and benefactor who made notable contributions to the restoration of the Village of Fredericktown.

Malone Covered Bridge
One of several Covered Bridges in Ohio, the Malone Covered Bridge has been restored and put on display at the State Park.
